“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:8

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9
Many a times we tend to calculate and make predictions based on our logical and practical reasoning. We trust our own understanding and perception gained from every single personal life experience and from the things we hear about.
The wisest King of Israel and the son of the great King David, King Solomon; says leaning on our own understanding is contrary to trusting the Lord. We do trust in God but sometimes it’s hard to trust when things are not the way we thought it would be.
‘There was a man who was against Christians. He persecuted them. He received one call from the Lord and decided to never turn back. But in his walk with Christ he was put in prison again and again, flogged numerous times, faced death, beaten with rods, stoned once, shipwrecked thrice, in the sea one full night and day. He was in continual danger from rivers, robbers, his countrymen, foreigners. He was sleepless, cold, naked and hungry. He also seemed to have a thorn in the flesh or a disease in his eye. This man is Saul who became Paul, known to be one the greatest apostles.’ Through all this he says,” Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”.
So why do we lose that faith, that trust in God in times of trials.

Lets understand that HIS ways are higher HIS thoughts are higher.

We can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.
PROMISE: (Jeremiah 29:11-13) “For I know the plans I have for you, “ declares the Lord, “ plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future; … I will listen to you; … I will be found by you.”
‘Let’s put our hope in the Lord both now and forevermore.’
